To be truly present in a relationship is a gift. Love transcends ego. To love someone is to truly think of that person over yourself. You would do something for that person even though you don’t like it. You compromise your beliefs for theirs. This does not mean you love yourself any less, but you love them more.
“Love is the extremely difficult realization that something other than oneself is real.” -Iris Murdoch
While you are do the following poses think of why you love someone and what you are willing to give up for them.

Cat/Cow

- Child’s Pose-

You can use blocks or not in this pose. Lay the bolster vertical on your mat. Scoot your pelvis close to the bolster and bend your knees. If your bottom does not reach your ankles put a blanket in between to pad. Use blankets to pad your arms at your side or by your knees. Stay in this pose for four minutes, 2 minutes each side of the head. Focus on your breath.
2. Heart Opening Pose-

There are two ways to set this pose up. One is like the picture and the other is to have the bolster horizontal and have blankets or another bolster under your knees and head. Stay in this pose for four minutes. Focus on going within and your breath.
3. Belly down on bolster at hip-

Place the bolster on your mat horizontally. Lay down on the bolster belly down with the bolster at your pelvis/lower stomach. You can have a couple of blankets for your head or use your arms. Stay in this pose for 2-3 minutes. Focus on your breath and go within.
4. Supported Bound Angle Pose-

What is not shown in this picture is that you can have a blanket wrapped around your feet and under your arms. Super comfy! You can also elevate your bolster with blocks. I like to wear socks during restorative because my feet get cold. Stay in this pose for 4 minutes and focus on your breath and going within.
“Love seems to be something that keeps filling up within us. The more we give away the more we have to give.” -Fred Rodgers
5. Legs up the Bolster-

Elevate your bolster by making an L with your blocks and place the bolster on the blocks. Lay down on your back with your legs on the bolster. Have a blanket for your head and an eye pillow for your eyes. Stay in this pose for 4 minutes and focus on your breath.
6. Supported Savasana-

Lay down in final savasana, putting a bolster or blankets under your knees. Have a blanket for your head too. Stay in this pose for 4-5 minutes. Go back to the intention of why you love someone and what you are willing to give up for them.
